As a business, we believe that every animal deserves the chance to enjoy a happy and fulfilling life, cared for by a loving family that is committed to looking after their pet. That is why, for our 100th year birthday, we have partnered with a range of animal charities to raise awareness of the services they provide, so they can receive the necessary support moving forward. This week, we are focusing on Wood Green and the fantastic work they do.
How we are supporting Wood Green on July 31st
From Saturday 31st July till Saturday 7th August, Johnson’s will be donating a portion of sales made from every Johnson’s product purchased to one of five animal charities, with Wood Green being one of the benefitting organisations.
This fundraiser will apply to retail pet shops (excluding online sales), so whether you need more flea treatment for your dog or some tasty treats for your budgie, any in-store purchase of a Johnson’s product on July 31st will benefit one of our five charities.
Purchases can be made at any independent pet shop, garden centre or store retailer that stocks our products, which includes large chain stores such as Pets at Home.
Other ways to join the birthday celebrations
Do you own or work for a pet shop? We also have an exciting competition where pet shops can win up to £600 to spend on a fun day out of their choosing. Find out more here.

Who are Wood Green?
For animals in need of love and support, it is vital that a dedicated team are on-hand to provide the care they need. For people who own pets, it’s crucial they are supported at every step of the way too – from rehoming a pet, to ongoing care, and overcoming any problems along the way.
As a charity that has built a strong reputation for supporting people and pets alike, Wood Green has a vision of a world where all pets are well cared for in loving homes for life. That is why a good amount of their work goes into helping owners, ensuring they have everything they need to look after their pets – from free behavioural advice to financial support to help cover the cost of pet care.
With one of the UK’s largest rehoming centres, Wood Green strives to find the right home for every animal in their care, working alongside families to match them with a suitable pet based on their unique requirements.
Instead of specialising in one specific type of pet, the charity prides itself on supporting all different species, including mice, rabbits, chickens, cats and dogs. All pets are assessed and treated for any medical or behavioural needs by the team at Wood Green, before being matched with loving new homes.
This commitment to understanding the individual behaviours of their pets and using this extensive knowledge to support owners and match them with the right pet is vitally important, which is why we have thrown our support behind the initiative this month.
