As a company that has been caring for the nation’s pets for 100 years, animal wellbeing remains a core value to what we do, and we are proud to have supported several animal charities throughout our lifetime. This week we introduce you to one of the charities benefitting from our upcoming birthday fundraiser Fat Fluffs.

How we are supporting Fat Fluffs on our 100th year birthday

On Saturday 31st July 2021, Johnson’s will be donating a portion of sales made from every Johnson’s product purchase to one of five animal charities, with Fat Fluffs being one of the five benefitting organisations.

This fundraiser will apply to all our products in retail stores (online purchases are excluded), so whether you need flea treatment for your dog or some tasty treats for your budgie, any in-store purchase of a Johnson’s product on Saturday 31st July will benefit one of our five charities.

Purchases can be made at any independent pet shop, garden centre or store retailer that stocks our products, which includes large chain stores such as Pets at Home.

About Fat Fluffs

Based in the West Midlands, Fat Fluffs are a rabbit rescue that give unwanted rabbits a safe place to recuperate whilst the team finds them loving forever homes.

The charity was founded in 2008 by Chloe Hennegan and five of her friends. From their Rescue centre in Hampton in Arden, the Fat Fluffs team and volunteer network rescue and rehabilitate all types of unwanted rabbits. Once the rabbits are ready, they are then put up on their website for adoption.

Sadly, not all rabbits that are rescued can be rehabilitated for re-homing, such as those with behavioural issues or continuing health problems. However rather than giving up on these rabbits, Fat Fluffs provides a sanctuary for them to live happily for the rest of their lives.

Fat Fluffs also provide boarding services for rabbits whose owners are temporarily going away, as well as free educational resources on rabbit care.

Fat Fluffs Rescue Manager Sophie Walker said:

“Fat Fluffs runs entirely on donations from our generous supporters, so we really appreciate this amazing boost as it helps us push forward with our mission to help as many bunnies as possible.“
