As a business, we are committed to supporting charities and initiatives that understand the needs of animals and work tirelessly to ensure they receive the appropriate love and care. That is why, for our 100th year birthday, we have partnered with a range of animal charities to raise awareness of the work they do and support their fundraising initiatives. This week, we are focusing on Furbabies Cat Rescue and the fantastic work they do.
How we are supporting charities like Furbabies Cat Rescue on July 31st
From Saturday 31st July till Saturday 7th August, Johnson’s will be donating a portion of sales made from every Johnson’s product purchased to one of five animal charities, with Furbabies Cat Rescue being one of the benefitting organisations.
This fundraiser will apply to retail pet shops (excluding online sales), so whether you need more flea treatment for your dog or some tasty treats for your budgie, any in-store purchase of a Johnson’s product on July 31st will benefit one of our fiver charities.
Purchases can be made at any independent pet shop, garden centre or store retailer that stocks our products, which includes large chain stores such as Pets at Home.
Other ways to join the birthday celebration
Do you own or work for a pet shop? We also have an exciting competition where pet shops can win up to £600 to spend on a fun day out of their choosing. Find out more here.

Who are Furbabies Cat Rescue?
Every cat deserves a chance, even when others have given up on them. Founded in 2013, Furbabies Cat Rescue has made it their mission to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome cats and kittens, ensuring they are given the loving life they deserve by matching them with a kind and caring family.
As a voluntary organisation that relies completely on the generosity of its followers, it is vital that they continue to raise awareness, so the thousands of cats and kittens that arrive at the charity in desperate states are given the chance to recover and find their forever homes.
Instead of housing cats in one sanctuary centre, all of the animals are placed within foster homes, so the charity can get a better understanding of their personalities and behaviour. This approach means that Furbabies Cat Rescue can make recommendations to those interested in adopting, matching their unique needs and requirements with the appropriate pet.
Rather than only supporting animals of a certain age or background, Furbabies Cat Rescue does not discriminate against any cat’s age, looks or history, firm in their belief that every single rescue cat deserves the chance to be happy.
Furbabies is a charity that is particularly close to our hearts, as it understands the importance of supporting animals in need and how rehoming them into a loving family can help them on the road to recovery.
