Returning for its 35th year in action, Johnson’s Veterinary Products is sponsoring the Rotary Club of Sutton Coldfield Vesey’s Boxing Day charity dog walk in Sutton Park, helping support local worthy causes through the moneys raised.
From 10:30am on Thursday 26th December 2024, members of the local community and their loved ones (both two and four legged) are invited to the annual post-Christmas stroll in the park, an opportunity to mingle with fellow pet owners and their lovely pooches.
It’s an event in the calendar that has grown in popularity through the years gone by, welcoming lots of new and old faces. Attendees can take their time mulling around the scenic trail, chatting to people passing by and keeping spirits high.
Any sponsorship deals or participant donations support the ongoing hard work carried out by those at Birmingham Dogs’ Home, who have been caring for stray, abandoned and relinquished dogs from across the West Midlands and South Staffordshire for over 130 years, as well as a number of other Rotary charities.
It’s confirmed the meeting point is the Visitors’ Centre of Sutton Park, which can be accessed through Town Gate, Park Road, Sutton Coldfield, and has plenty of on-premises parking.
Having sponsored the walk for over 20 years now, Johnson’s are honoured to work so closely with the Rotary and associated charities. It is a privilege to still be involved in such an important local event having been a part of the Sutton Coldfield community for over 60 years.
Since 1921, we have prioritised the health and wellbeing of pets all over the UK through the provision of effective pet care products. But one of the simplest and most efficient ways to promote a healthy lifestyle and clear mind is walking, something every pet owner and their dog can benefit from after a month of festive feasting.
All ages and dog breeds are welcome to spend the morning of Boxing Day walking and talking with one another. The first 36 entrants will receive a goody bag containing a selection of our hero pet care products and some leaflets. A limited edition charity dog tag and Johnson’s pet towel will also be gifted to the first 100 entrants, so it’s best not to dawdle!
Why not drag out the celebrations for a little longer? There will be some very happy pups to greet you on arrival.
Below are some photos from last year’s walk.
